Peter joined Blue Mountains Food Services in September 2023 after hearing great things about the organisation and wanting to be part of its impact.
He finds the most rewarding aspect of his role is seeing firsthand how BMFS improves the lives and wellbeing of its clients.
Passionate about community service, Peter believes in balancing out the self-interest that is widespread in society by supporting others. For him, helping people is fulfilling and gives purpose to each day. He values BMFS for providing essential services that may not otherwise be available and for fostering a true sense of community in the Blue Mountains, where people genuinely look out for one another.

Aged Care Services Manager
Lisa Granger
Lisa has been with Blue Mountains Food Services for almost six years, joining during the COVID period. She was drawn to BMFS by the opportunity to work within her local community while remaining close to home and present for her three children.
Her favourite part of the role is connecting with clients and hearing their stories. Lisa values the strong sense of community at BMFS and believes the organisation plays an essential role in providing vital daily services in a way that is both professional and personal.
Having raised her children in the Blue Mountains for the past 16 years, Lisa deeply appreciates the area’s strong community spirit and genuine care for one another.

Sarah Kelly
NDIS Manager
Sarah has been with Blue Mountains Food Services since March 2018, drawn to the organisation after working with its Cook+Connect programs in her previous role. She was inspired by the impact of these initiatives and wanted to be more involved in supporting the community.
Her favourite part of the job is working with the wonderful participants, whose passion and joy for life make every day rewarding. She believes that feeling connected and supported is vital for wellbeing, and she is proud to help facilitate meaningful connections, particularly for those who are most vulnerable.
Having lived in the Blue Mountains for 27 years, Sarah loves its close-knit and supportive community. She values the way people embrace diversity and come together in times of need, and she is proud to contribute to an organisation that helps create opportunities for connection, independence, and wellbeing.

Danielle Fletcher
Ben's Cafe Manager
Danielle has been with Blue Mountains Food Services since July 2018, drawn to the opportunity to help people with disabilities gain valuable hospitality skills. She finds it incredibly rewarding to see participants grow in confidence and independence.
As Café Manager, she loves meeting new people, welcoming regulars, and creating an inclusive space. She takes pride in training participants and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Danielle believes BMFS is essential in bringing the community together by providing support and opportunities for people of all ages. She is passionate about fostering connection and inclusivity through her work.

Nikita Fraser
Administration Coordinator
Nikita joined Blue Mountains Food Services in December 2025 and was drawn to the organisation through her strong belief in the power of connection, particularly the way food brings together families, communities, and cultures. She was eager to support and give back to vulnerable members of the local community.
Her favourite part of the role is getting to know clients and hearing their stories, which she describes as both inspiring and a valuable insight into the history of the Blue Mountains community.
Nikita finds great fulfilment in working within community services and believes that even small acts of support can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She also loves the Blue Mountains’ creative spirit, strong sense of community, and shared care for both people and the natural environment.

Jane Dinsdale Scanlon
Volunteer & Social Support Coordinator
Jane has been with Blue Mountains Food Services for five years and was drawn to the organisation because of the genuine difference it makes in people’s day-to-day lives. As Volunteer Coordinator, she supports and works alongside a dedicated group of volunteers across a range of programs, ensuring they feel confident, valued, and well matched to their roles.
She enjoys the variety that comes with the role and the opportunity to build meaningful connections while creating programs that run smoothly and still feel personal. Her favourite part of the job is seeing relationships grow, where a simple delivery or visit can become something truly meaningful for both the client and the volunteer.
Jane is inspired by the practical ways people show up to support one another through community services. She believes BMFS plays an important role in helping people across the Blue Mountains remain independent, connected, and well at home, and she values the strong sense of care and community that exists throughout the region.
